Norfolk County Council’s autumn half-term holiday runs from Saturday 24th October to Sunday 1st November 2026, with pupils returning on Monday 2nd November, unless you are one of the lucky ones, like our sixth child, who has two weeks off in October!

If your perfect autumn day involves wellies, muddy fields and finding a pumpkin that’s somehow three times bigger than you intended to buy, there are lots of places to go pumpkin picking in Norfolk.

Pumpkin picking can get extremely busy during the weekends before Halloween and throughout half term, so booking early is a good idea.
