Old Macdonald’s Farm

Old Macdonald’s Farm has rides and amusements and over 30 different species of animals including meerkats, pigs, wallabies, rabbits, ponies, cows and a European Eagle Owl.
There are two indoor areas: the Battle Barn with soft play cannons and the indoor soft play area and ball pool where you will also find their on-site cafe.

Kelvedon Hatch – Secret Nuclear Bunker

The bunker started with its role as an RAF ROTOR Station, then had a brief period as a civil defence centre and its most recent life as a Regional Government HQ.

Barnards Miniature Railway
Location : Brentwood Road, West Horndon, Brentwood CM13 3LX
The Barnards Miniature Railway opened in 2010, 260 metres of single line was laid from the station at Burton Shaw to the engine shed.
Following its success the line was extended to Belvedere in 2011, then to Sitooterie in 2015 and finally Angel Green in 2016.
The line is now 1.5km in length making it the longest end to end 7 ¼” gauge line in the country.
