Looking for a spooktacular evening out this October half term, check out Fairground Frights
Get ready to enjoy eerie evenings at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach this Halloween.
The park is opening late from 5-8pm 28th – 31st October where visitors can enjoy mysterious moments and creepy experiences during four special evenings called Fairground Frights.
Fairground Frights
Could there be something sinister lurking on the Ghost Train, will the Fun Factory be fang-tastic, and could the world-famous Rollercoaster boast a ghost?
There will be spooky characters roaming the park, scary light projections on the rollercoaster, a host of photo opportunities and all sorts of Halloween fun.
Aaron Jones, the Pleasure Beach’s marketing director, said: “Fairground Frights is a first for us and for Great Yarmouth. Halloween is proving more and more popular and we thought this would be a great chance to showcase the park in the autumn while offering something a bit different.
“We have worked hard to come up with some exciting ideas, make sure all the scares are socially-distanced and safe, and we hope everyone has a suitably sinister time in their bubbles.”
As well as a spooky twist to the many rides and attractions, there will also be lots of surprises too, the chance to carve a pumpkin, and the atmosphere will be boosted with a live DJ playing a specially curated and petrifying playlist of Halloween hits.
Everyone coming along is also being encouraged to dress up as ghosts, ghouls or someone sinister with prizes available for the best spooky outfits.
Fairground Frights will be open to those five and over, but those younger Pleasure Beach fans will still be able to enjoy Halloween fun as the park will be open from 12-4 across the October half-term for everyone with some family activities.
Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach is working on the late-night opening with Norfolk-based event producer Ollie George, which is known for its high-profile concert and events seasons at Taverham Hall and the Norfolk Showground and for collaborating on the Polar Express train experiences.
Tickets will cost £17 each and can be purchased now but be quick as I anticipate these will go pretty quickly!
