Southwold Maize Maze has two Mazes to conquer.
The main maze – The theme for this year is yet to be revealed.
A new field of maize is planted each season resulting in a new design and theme every year.
The crop’s growth cycle requires planting in early May. Much of the main growing is done in July, which is why the maize maze doesn’t open until the start of the main school summer holidays, in late July when the corn will hopefully will be close to its maximum height!
At the ‘centre’ of the main maze, you can view the beautiful Reydon marshes, home to many species of bird and quietly grazing cattle.
These picturesque scenes can be witnessed from a raised walkway that takes you above the height of the Maize Maze, and enables you to see right down to the banks of the River Blyth.
The Mini Maze – Specially designed for the littler ones but a further challenge in its own right – the MINI MAZE offers a fun and exciting extra maze adventure – ‘spot the spots’.
Find the 7 boards – each with a colour of the rainbow & stick the corresponding stickers on to the leaflet provided at admissions.

The Wizard Maze
Location : Hall Farm, Cromer Road, Metton, NR11 8QU

Each year, around the beginning of June, at the maize seedling stage the theme for that year is mapped out.
John and Lucy, with the help of a maize specialist will plough the diagram of the theme into the field. When the maize starts growing the theme comes to life, and will be revealed by drone footage and posted on social media at the beginning of the season.
When you enter the maze you will have a wordsearch and a pencil provided with your entry ticket. As you work your way through the maze you will come to different theme related stations (there are 10 stations) with questions to answer on your wordsearch page.
It’s informative as well as fun!
This summer season, they’re open from Saturday 26th July 2025 until Sunday 31st August 2025.
Have fun making your way round the themed maze to see how long it takes you to find the exit (in fact, it’s great for a team challenge!)
It doesn’t end there, oh no! You can enjoy the rest of the Wizard’s fun areas with tractor rides, pedal go-karts, crazy golf, climb the straw bales, meet the Farmyard Gang (the pygmy goats are hilarious)
There’s so much to do, you’ll need a day to do it!
