It has Blue Flag Status which means it is clean and is a safe environment and it is very family friendly as it is patrolled by Lifeguards.

North Norfolk Railway – The Poppy Line

From the smart Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham to the Georgian town of Holt, the North Norfolk Railway runs through the county’s most stunning coastal scenery.

The railway hosts special events throughout the year including a celebration of heritage rail with nine locomotives likely to work during the nine-day festival.

Peter Coke Shell Gallery

This is the only place in the world where such an extensive and varied body of shell work, all by the same artist, Peter Coke, can be viewed.

In years to come it is unlikely that the wide range of colourful tropical shells which he was able to use will still be available.

Sheringham Park

Location : Wood Farm, Sheringham NR26 8TL

The finest example of a Humphry Repton landscape, this park has sea views and rolling parkland.

The site has a nationally important collection of rhododendrons, set amongst Scots pines with viewing towers to admire them from above.

The estate leads down past two World War Two pillboxes to the coastal cliffs and beach, home to skylarks and sand martins.

Sheringham Museum at The Mo

The current museum opened in April 2010 and rehoused the former collection originally held in converted fishermen’s cottages behind the main street.
